I am wondering if you have done a video specifically on Peirce's Triadism? Essential to an understanding of Peirce appears to be an immersion into "threeness". This philosophy article about Peirce (https://plato.stanford.edu/entries/peirce/#triad) [section 9], poses the comment "If Peirce had a general technical rationale for his triadism, Peirce scholars have not yet made it abundantly clear what this rationale might be." Whether a technical rationale or otherwise, I think the point is being missed. Despite your coverage of Peirce's 3 signs, I think there is a larger underlying Paradigm at play. If we look back over history and look at different philosophers (etc.) , we can see a recurring "three" theme taking place in different schemes with individualized schematics. On this page, just over half way down, is a small sampling of three-patterned ideas expressed by different thinkers: https://www.threesology.org/3s-poster-5.php. I believe an understanding of the recurring cognitive substrate of "three" in relation to duality and singularity (but not excluding other patterns), is important for grasping the journey Peirce was on. Please let me know your thoughts on Peirce's triadism model of thinking beyond the context of his three signs. herbobuckland@hotmail.com

And by the way, your use of art to compliment your intellectual forays reminds me of Mathias Sager and his interest in Threes: https://mathias-sager.com/#

Thank you for the interesting comment! "Threeness" is a fundamental aspect of Peirce's thought, and it can be found everywhere. There are many ways to approach this issue.

- While there are no proofs that three is the ultimate division of all things, there are what I call "humble proofs". I've represented couple of them on my new website: https://philosign.com/tutorial_3categories#Why_not_4thness

- If one takes the metaphysical approach that sees the categories as real, then it's no surprise that triadicity can be found everywhere. If the universe is triadic, so is everything in it.

- I've found that threeness represents a different way of thinking, a distinct mindset. When one sees only dualities and dichotomies, it leads to divisions and oppositions. But when one sees triadicity, it creates coherence and synergy.

You cite the Essential Peirce here. I have only read Volume 1. Would reading both give a layman most of what they need to know about the man's work?

Absolutely. Essential Peirce (both of them) are great. The introductions are very good.
